Hello!

I am Job van Heemskerck van Beest, a printmaker and photographer based in Naarden, the Netherlands.

Photography forms the foundation of my linocut prints. For most projects, I take a portrait photo in my studio in Naarden, the Netherlands, ensuring the best composition for the linocut process. However, depending on the project, I can also work with an existing photograph—whether it’s a cherished image of a loved one or a picture sent by clients from abroad.

To create a digital collage, I combine the linocut print with a carefully selected background—often a section of a textured or colorful wall I have photographed in cities worldwide. The choice of background can be tailored in consultation with the client, incorporating colors or locations that hold personal significance.

Each step of the process—photography, drawing, cutting, printing, and digital composition—is a craft in itself. It is an exhilarating journey to merge these elements into a work of art that captures the subject’s essence.

Commissions are available for linocuts, collages, or both. Whether you are nearby or abroad, we can collaborate to create something meaningful.
